HOUSING

The housing project always comport a first step of land planning with a group. Then a part of it will be chosen to develop the architecture separately.
With my group, we decided to implement a system of kitchen gardens, were everything is thought to form a little community of farmers.
The orientation is discontextualized to focalise on a more practical preoccupation : the kitchen garden needs a south orientation, that also trains a west-east orietnation for the housing.
The housing buildings are developed in horizontal lines to take a smaller area on the ground; between this two lines, the circulations take place.
Some paths between the gardens give access to the garden sheds, they also allow a walk in the nature, under the shadow of some trees all along the path that are first necessery to visually devide the lines of housing.
My personal architectural development is based on a reflexion about the level difference between the interior of the area and the limits. A earthwork first followed, and a different treatement for each of the two lines of housing I developed : the low single family house in the low part, and the high apartment bars in the high part.
The circulation between the two types of houses, breath some times in some big common terraces. The different highs of the family houses allows alternate views on the long fields, from the way between the houses, but also from the apartements, that have therefore a free view on the two principal facades.
